The Historic Brandon Plantation 23500 Brandon Road, Spring Grove

The Brandon Plantation Estate is the oldest operating farm in the United States, counting two United States senators as former owners.

Wells Fargo Private Bank, the trustee for this estate and the family who owned this 4500 acre waterfront Plantation decided to sell the Plantation. Having only 3 owners in 400 years and being such a unique property to determine a list price, the Sellers decided that our Accelerated Marketing Platform was the best way to market and sell this amazing piece of history. With historical significance dating back to the Revolutionary War (Thomas Jefferson designed the Main House, George Washington was a frequent visitor and a former owner was a U.S. Supreme Court justice) the estate’s marketing campaign was a tremendous success, sparking inquiries from around the globe. The property was shown to nearly 200 qualified buyers that flew in from Texas, Florida and as far away as California. We submitted 6 offers via our Sealed Bid Process and our client chose the best offer and this property closed above the bank’s internal appraisal and very close to the offering price of $20 million.
